Why Wilmington?
Wilmington is undeniably a beautiful city, adorned with picturesque landscapes, friendly inhabitants, elegant homes, and neighboring pristine beaches. However, its history tells a less attractive tale.

Cities often have a defining historical event - an Epoch, and unfortunately, on November 10, 1898, Wilmington became the site of the only successful military coup d'etat on U.S. soil. This uprising resulted in the tragic murder of numerous individuals, displacing thousands of black families, including government leaders, clergy, and entrepreneurs. Even white supporters and their families were forced to leave town and this gravely impacted the future growth of Wilmington, which was at that time, the largest city in North Carolina.

How do we move Forward? Envision a city united, free from racial and socioeconomic divisions—a city characterized by hope instead of homelessness, dreams instead of drug addiction, and revitalization instead of violence.

It is time for a New Epoch in this city and its surrounding communities. The transformative change that this city yearns for can only be realized through the unparalleled power of Jesus Christ. As we strive to build His Church for His glory and the well-being of this city, let us leverage our time, education, skills, abilities, resources, and lives. Join us in this endeavor as we work towards the glory of God and the good of our city.
